Drew Corbett is a 62-year-old male presenting with COVID symptoms for 8+ days, experiencing in-and-out respiratory failure for three days. He develops ventricular tachycardia and goes into cardiac arrest. Due to hospital protocol prohibiting CPR during COVID (to prevent aerosolization), the team can only use defibrillation, and Drew dies despite their efforts.

Todd Lowry, a 43-year-old plastic surgeon, has been performing invasive surgeries on himself including pectoral implants, liposuction for an eight-pack, and lipoma removal. He becomes lightheaded during self-surgery and is brought to the ED. His obsessive pursuit of physical perfection creates conflict over whether he should be psychiatrically held. He later tears open his own surgical wound because he perceives imperfections.
