House diagnoses acute intermittent porphyria after triggering an attack with a barbiturate/alcohol/protein cocktail to collect urine during symptoms. The condition causes axonal nerve death and was initially misdiagnosed as several other conditions including Alzheimer's and Guillain-Barré syndrome.
