A hospital-wide outbreak of antibiotic-resistant KPC bacteria kills multiple patients and drives the entire episode's crisis. The infection spreads through contaminated ice from an old ice machine, causing bacterial pneumonia and pulmonary embolism. The team must find the source and develop a treatment using an old discontinued antibiotic (Tolomycin) paired with dialysis.
