A soldier recently returned from Afghanistan experiences severe PTSD symptoms including nightmares, insomnia, and emotional detachment from his wife. He attempts suicide by overdose after revealing he was sexually assaulted by his sergeant during military service.

By episode's end, Cooper convinces her to fight and pursue treatment.
