Bob Kelso admits himself to the hospital with what he describes as a 'highly contagious intestinal virus,' experiencing nausea and vomiting. He initially attempts to self-treat but is told by Dr. Cox to let the interns handle his care. The condition is ultimately diagnosed as a glorified flu bug, possibly complicated by having eaten a raw starfish.
