Young woman presents with severe nightmares, inability to sleep, and psychotic episodes including Capgras syndrome where she cannot recognize familiar faces. Condition is caused by antibodies from an ovarian teratoma attacking the brain. She injures her femoral artery during a violent hallucination, requiring emergency surgery. Successfully diagnosed and treated with steroids and immunoglobulins.
