Humerus fracture

Yara develops acute compartment syndrome secondary to a proximal humerus fracture sustained when she fell down stairs while being chased at school. She requires emergency surgery to decompress and stabilize the fracture.

Yara was misdiagnosed with Tourette syndrome, but is discovered to have a hypothalamic hamartoma causing gelastic seizures that manifest as involuntary laughing and motor tics.
